This may be one of the most absurd "sports" I have ever seen, but man do I want to get a team together for this. I'm not entirely sure how, but I stumbled across the NYC Social Sports Club's Office Chair Polo league, which apparently has not yet started up. It looks mad fun, and I think I would get extremely, extremely competitive.
The rules, according to the site, are as follows:
Players find speed moving backwards while seated in office chairs, armed with 'brooms' (regulation Broomball sticks), looking to send the 7" soccer ball into a goal. The game is played 6 on 6, with five 'Rollers' (players in chairs) and one 'Whipper' (players on their feet) per team. The Whipper has no Broom, serves as a goalie, and is allowed to 'whip' their own players around the court at will.
So the question is, who is in? As a warning, I can't foresee myself not turning this into a bumper chairs competition.
