I neglected to post this a few weeks ago when I got back from Libel Show 100, but Libel Show was awesome this year! Congratulations to everyone involved in putting it together - it was hilarious. It makes me proud to say that I attend Virginia Law. But then again, pretty much anything UVA Law-related makes me proud. They were planting flowers outside the law school today! WOOO UVA!

My Constructing the Deal professor is awesome.

All the professors say that the answer isn’t important, it’s the reasoning.  Nonsense.  Bull, melarchy, poppycock and hooey.  Your client wants an answer.  “I’m sorry, I didn’t know it was illegal, but look at this memo!  My reasoning is great!”

As we all know, Duke sucks. Alright fine, academically speaking, they’re one of the top notch universities around. Their law school pales in comparison to UVA, but you know, they’re not too shabby. Anyone who follows ACC basketball, or really ACC anything, or really any college sports at all, probably hates Duke, unless he or she (a) attends or attended Duke, (b) has a relative who attends or attended Duke, or (c) hates freedom. I came across this from East Coast Bias (though it is floating around the internet) and found it (a) hilarious and (b) so true. Also, apparently today I like to make (a) lists and (b) there is no (b).  The questions on it are pretty funny to me, haha.

I expect all my Duke friends to yell at me know. But this was well worth it.

ATL just reported that NYC just raised to 190! HOW EXCITED ARE YOU?? This is fantastic news for the firm, showing the market that they are not suffering as compared to several of their NYC counterpart firms. This is even more fantastic news for those of us starting in the Fall! I knew I picked the right place! I’m excited.
