Found out

Saturday, June 30th, 2007

Well, I’ve been found out.  Everyone at work knows about this website, apparently.  Doh.  Oh well, what can you do?

Today was the first Saturday in the last four that I did not end up having to go into the office.  I spent the day at Central Park lounging around.  It was awesome.  I’m still debating between doing it again tomorrow or stopping by the office to put a few hours in.  I just bought my bus ticket to go back to Virginia Beach on July 5…really excited about that!  But that means I’ll be missing a few days of work, which is why I’m considering going in tomorrow.

I have nothing to say today, really.  Just wanted you to know I still exist.

Omigod Omigod

My parents came to New York this past weekend to visit.  That was great.  Friday night we saw Legally Blonde, the musical.  I wanted to shoot myself.  It was well done, don’t get me wrong.  I can appreciate the acting and dancing and singing.  But there was so much pink everywhere, and everyone was talking and singing two octaves too high for me.  And if I heard “omigod!” one more time, I think I would have just spontaneously combusted.  I knew I was in trouble when the opening number started with “Oh my god, Oh my god you guys!”  But yeah.  Other than that, it was good.

In other news, I bought a Nintendo Wii this weekend, completely as an impulse buy.  What is WRONG with me?  However, I gotta say, my Mii is charming and dashing and generally awesome, just like its owner.  Haha.  OK, I need to get out more.

I know, I know

I know I’ve been horrible in updating this. I have no good excuse, aside from perpetual exhaustion. I’ve done a lot of drinking since I got to New York (I hope mom and dad aren’t reading this…if you are, don’t worry - this is only a joke and not for real at all. Also, please send money.)…a firm happy hour here, a uva happy hour there, etc. You know how it goes.

Last weekend was a blast because Diana Chau and Kara Schulte came to visit. We went to a cool place with a decent dance floor and were out till 4 in the morning. That was certainly a good time…until Chat decided to fall asleep on the dance floor and make us all go home. Boo, Chat. Boo. We capped off the weekend with dinner in Chinatown, which automatically makes it awesome.

This weekend was somewhat different in nature. I didn’t get home till around 9:30 on Friday (includes a gym visit). Saturday I got into the office at 8:00am and worked on an awesome due diligence thing. You’d think I’m being sarcastic, but I actually enjoyed myself. I also got the chance to get to know some of the M&A attorneys there a little better, so that’s good. They’re actually a really fun group. I didn’t get home until 12:30am…stayed in the office till a little after 9pm working, and then we went out to grab a beer and a bite. It was surprisingly fun. Today Chat and I went to see Ocean’s Thirteen and Shrek the Third. Neither movie is on my all-time favorites list, but they weren’t horrible. Ocean’s Thirteen was a fun movie to watch - entertaining from start to finish, but no real climax scene and somewhat pointless. Shrek was…a little lame, to be honest. Not bad…but not great.

Anyway, bed time. I have pictures to post. But alas, I am lazy.
