Google me

Saturday, September 23rd, 2006

So I’m reading 1L memos, and needless to say, I’m looking for distractions.  So I thought, why not do a few vanity searches?  I figure firms are googling, so I might as well see what they’ll find.  Here are a few searches I did, and the results:

  1. Brian Leung:  Seventh.  Unfortunately, a Dr. Brian Leung, Assistant Professor of Biology at McGill, seems to get the number one ranking on this search.  There is also a Brian Leung, author of World Famous Love Acts, and a Brian Leung, professor at California State University Northridge (whose interests include fiction writing, Chinese history, and um, gay literature) who both rank higher than I do.  Boooo.
  2. Brian J. Leung:  First!  Sweet.  Coming in second is a Brian J. Leung who is on the Dean’s list and a recipient of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon scholarship.  I guess that helps my name.
  3. Brian Leung Blog:  Third.
  4. Leung UVA Blog:  Third, but the first link there links me.
  5. Stomach Explosion:  First!!  Woohoo!

Also, Drew Snyder of the Snyder News Network just released a review of UVA Law blogs.  Here is what he has to say about me:

Leung is the proprietor of Brian Leung of the United States (BLOTUS), a cute play on SCOTUS. He has the best-designed top banner of any of the UVA blogs, and includes posts that are very well-written (he’s a Dillard Fellow), and UVA-related. He has a biography section, a photo album, and a section on UVA sports. I’ll probably add BLOTUS to the daily rotation of websites read.

I just thought I’d share that.  Everyone should follow his lead and add BLOTUS to the daily rotation.

OK, leave me alone.  I have to read 1L memos.  Woot.
