Oops. Lesson Learned (maybe).

Well, there goes another weekend. Back to the books. I’m reading through 1L memos right now for Dillarding, and they’re pretty much at the 1L calibre you’d expect, so that’s good. I’m glad that they’re at least still trying. It’s just taking a really, really long time to get through all of them and provide meaningful comments.

So I had posted dandelion pictures up on Saturday, which is all good and fine. There was one picture that I had captioned, “I should probably not post this…” Well, indeed. Lesson learned. The law firm I worked at this past summer sent me an email totally calling me out on it. Oops. Who knew that (1) they had a link to my website, and (2) they were tracking me so closely (Hello, Christian.)?

At first I thought, “Well crap. I really screwed up this time - there goes any chance of ME getting a job this summer.” But then I thought…wait. They’re the ones who are googling summer associates first thing Monday morning. I then took it another step. Wow, if their associates have the time to google summer associates first thing in the morning, then the billables requirement must not be too shabby! Better hold on to this offer, haha.

Anyway, so there you have it. The moral of this story is, if your picture caption is “I probably shouldn’t put this up,” then don’t. Alright. Enough time tooling around on the blog. More Dillarding awaits.

Dude … no joke, I was just thinking about it today. I remembered that your email sig has a link to this site, and I was wondering if you sent email to your possible employers … oh well, guess I know the answer ;) .
