Endings, Beginnings, and Continuings
Sunday, August 6th, 2006Friday was my last day of work. Finally! I had a blast this summer, but am ready to just veg out for a little while. Hooray. After work I went to Matt and Jill’s wedding rehearsal and then the rehearsal dinner. I had SUCH a great time - both of their families are awesome and know how to throw a party.
Then Saturday rolled around. Jill and Matt are officially married! As I write this, the are en route to Aruba to spend a week on their honeymoon. I got that warm fuzzy feeling when Casey, Jill’s sister, made a toast thanking me for bringing the two of them together a la rootbeer keg. I am a freakin’ matchmaker. But I spent a lot of the time thinking about my own relationships issues. I need to start playing matchmaker for myself. Yay for weddings that surround you with friends and happiness, boo for them making you think big picture. Oh well. The girl is out there.
Saturday night we had the big birthday celebration with Grandma. We had family come from Maryland, North Carolina, and South America all come down to celebrate. They spent over $1200 for dinner. Wow. But yeah, we had such a great time.
Tons of pictures are in the photo album from both events.
